Kate Ritchie, the longtime Home and Away star who is now on Sydney's Nova 96.9 radio station, is being touted as the star of a contemporary version of soapie Young Doctors to screen on Channel 9 next year. I do hope there's a role for ex-Idol judge Mark Holden, who was so convincing in the original series.
PS: What I'd really like to see are modern updates of Number 96 and The Box. Surely that's food for thought for the Ten Network!

A modern update to "The Box"
A modern update to "The Box" seems like a good idea Brett, with all the hype surrounding "Boned" lately as well as the real life dramas of the industry that have come to the fore in recent years, I don't see why a revival can't work.
I'd like to see a modern day
I'd like to see a modern day version of The Box, for the very reasons you mention Kuttsywood. Number 96 would work these days because the shock value that made the original work so well is just so tame these days. Seen it all, over and over ! But yes, The Box would be a great remake ! Who would play Lee Whiteman ?
Kuttsywood and Brad, it
Kuttsywood and Brad, it looks like we're going to have make a proper pitch to Ten for a remake of The Box with the three of us as highly paid executive producers!

Please ! Nothing with Kate
Please ! Nothing with Kate Ritchie in it ! She really is a shocking actress. Her twenty year tenure as Sally lacked warmth or sincerity. I know that there will be those who disagree, but as an actress she makes a great radio announcer....and I've never heard her on the radio ! May I say that I hope never to hear her on the radio. Kate Ritchie has had her run. Time to find a real job, I think !
Careful, Kate Ritchie is a
Careful, Kate Ritchie is a friend of mine.

Then she is a very unfortunate young woman, isn't she ? A less than crash hot actress and a friend of Anon ! Life is cruel, ain't it !
