Luttsy and Danny: The latest

The latest word from radioland in Brisbane is that David "Luttsy" Lutteral isn't leaving Nova 1069 after all, he just won't be on the breakfast show so much. I hear he also wants to spend time in LA working on his tan or film/TV career (look how well that's turned out for Rove McManus). Also, I've been told that former 4BC stalwart Danny Hoyland - who, as one contributor to this blog noted, "tests" very well with audiences in a certain demographic - will be returning to the airwaves on the weekends, but not on the FM frequency. I wonder if it's in some way connected with Danny's passion for surf lifesaving?

A move to a newly digital 4KQ? Across the hall to 4BH? Joining South Bank's newest resident, 612 ABC? Anything's possible for Hoyland.
As for Luttsy, the two types of Australians that get over in America, are either actors or singers. Unfortunately Brett, Luttsy can't act, can't sing and is only sutiable for driving a lorry, I mean hosting a radio show.
(Also Brett, now the Foord hubbub is over, is there anything to suggest that Kay McGrath and Rod Young are leaving 7 soon? The only clue I can think of is when EJOK aka Emily Everywhere (get used to those initals, Brett) interviewed newsreaders for her blog http://blogs.news.com.au/couriermail/emily/index.php/couriermail/comment... , Seven's representive was Sharyn Ghidella, not either Kay or Rod... The whole Foord issue, could have been a easy cover for 7 to make the change, without Q-Confidential or other media peering in through a window at Ch 7...)
Re. Danny Hoyland; I
As for Rod and Kay, I wouldn't rule it out, but I think it'd be madness. Seven has done well by sticking to its knitting.
In 7's mind John and
In 7's mind John and Sharyn's the wool of the station's jumper, Everyone else is the knitting needles, Brett. And it was proven, by 7's overworked "B-team" (with both Talitha Cummins and Patrick Condren, working 6 day schedules over Christmas, and in the case of Condren, doing reporting as well) losing two of five days this week (the 23rd and Boxing Day) to Readings and Milic. And that was without John being there.
Remember, Kay's contract expires, in days... If Seven loses three out of five days next week, blame the lack of John and tired B-Team newsreaders...
But Nine's weather salvation still hasn't been announced publicly, but I have started to see promos with "Garry Youngberry knows weather"... All I know about the person is that he is a meterologist like... the great Ray Wilkie.
But will a meterologist (and a younger presenter) fix 9's ratings? I also wonder what TV0/Brisbane Ten's weather ratings were back when Ten News was at 6pm, with Wilkie's Weather at the end for a comparision to John back in the day?
A little side note,
A little side note, Condren's now been working eight days straight (including three days solo, due to illness for Talitha). I honestly think, that Jillian Whiting should be signed up by 7, on a short term deal (similar to what John's was when he joined 7) to give Condren a break. Working flatout for eight days won't do your health good, right Brett?
